yesterday we drove to
ashland, or, and had lunch at lithia park. it was so beautiful there. the leaves were every fall shade imaginable--oranges, yellows, reds [even pinks and purples]. i am sure my family is getting tired of my constant commenting about the leaves and trees and how beautiful they are though avery and mckenna comment about them a lot too
! i am convinced that fall is my favorite season because there is so much eye candy in nature. here are a few photos from our day trip....
...the girls by the park sign [brian and ian (in pack) to the right]. notice the array of color...

...there were piles of leaves like this everywhere though this was the most beautiful. note the size of the leaf avery has -- there were leaves bigger than ian -- no kidding!

...our monkeys on this cool climbing structure...

...daddy holding ian -- what a big bubble!

...someone offered to take our photo, so i took 'em up on the offer...

oh, and if you love shakespeare [lia, i thought of you :) ], this is the place to go. the town is known for it's shakespearean festival and has an outdoor elizabethan theatre, modeled after will's own globe theatre in england. check it out
here. i think we'll be back summer 2008 just for the experience.
